Cooking Fun with Simply Betty Stamps

2011 is drawing to a close and this will be the last release from Simply Betty Stamps for this year.  But don't despair!  We have a tremendously fun 12 challenges lined up for December and awesome new releases already scheduled for January!

This is Cupcake Lola, one of the new Teen Scene Cooking Fun images.  I couldn't resist pairing her with this cupcake paper from My Mind's Eye.  The  card is actually a gatefold, but I didn't get a hot of it that way, sorry!  The sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

Here's Lola up close, I just love the way her hair turned out with her low lights!

And this is Baking Betty, mixing up some holiday yumminess!  This sentiment is by Hero Arts.  Both of these cards are part of a stamp-a-stack that I'm doing at Family Memories in Charlotte on Monday.

Now, be sure to head to the Simply Betty Stamps blog to see more eye candy from the rest of the DT and to leave a comment for a chance to win some TS images!!

Is that MY tail???

Oh where oh where does the time go??? I have been super busy with samples for the NEW Stampendous! January 2012 catalog, trunk shows, classes, and of course my unexpected surgery a couple of weeks back.  I am soooo sorry I haven't been blogging as much :(

I have a card for you that I forgot to share last week!  This is Levi from the Teen Zombies Christmas line, NOW available from Simply Betty Stamps!!

Is he a cutie or what??  I kept him normal skin colored, even though he's a zombie, so he looks to me like a normal boy...full of cuts and scratches!  Well, maybe except for the worm inching out of his ear which I cleverly colored to look like a candy cane!  I crack myself up sometimes!

I'm also pleased with the shading on my copic coloring for a change!  He was actually even planned with a sketch challenge, but since I forgot him its a bit late, oops!

Be sure to head over to the store and pick up some undead fun and stop by the Simply Betty Stamps blog while you are at it for more inspiration!  Our next release, that of course you don't wanna miss, is next week, followed by The 12 Days of Scary Christmas!!  Can't wait!!

Peppermint Brooke

I actually have a scrapbook page for you all today, gasp!  I know, its been forever.  And this is actually a really old pic of my girlies from many years ago.  I used Peppermint Brooke from the Teen Zombies Christmas collection from Simply Betty Stamps on this one.  For more great ideas with this little honey head to the SBS blog!

Brooke is colored to match one of my absolute favorite Christmas paper collections ever, Merry Mint from American Crafts.  I added just a touch of sparkle to Brooke with a Gelly Roll pen, but added lots more sparkle to some of my borders using Shabby White embossing enamel from Stampendous!  Borders were punched first with n EK Success border punch.

Is she a doll or what?  And here's the title, cut with Metro and Chocolate dies from Lifestyle Crafts.

OK< so don't forget to hop over to the Simply Betty Stamps blog today and the rest of the week for a chance to win one of these cuites in clear stamp form!!

In the snow, zombies playing....

(to the tune of Winter Wonderland....now you're going to be singing it wrong all day! LOL)

Its a week of Christmas Zombies from Simply Betty Stamps!  We have a whole week of adorable walking dead people for you leading up to the release next weekend!  First up today is Holly Jolly Ginger.  She is colored in true zombie spirit with BV's and C's to get that just dead look, LOL.

For me card I used Jen's Deconstructed Sketch for this week and some Bo Bunny paper from last season.  Here's a closeup of Ginger in all her cute deadness:

I added some sparkly embossing powder to the holly after it was colored with a Versamarker and Vintage Plum and Vintage Olive Embossing Tinsels from Stampendous!

And at the bottom of the card I encrusted the edge to look like sparkly snow (who wouldn't like sparkly fluff???) with Shabby White Embossing Enamel,  Crushed Gold Glass Glitter and Shaved Ice, all from Stampendous!

And here is Fa la la Lexi, my favorite of the group :)  I decided to make her into a circle card using my Nesting Scallop circles from Lifestyle Crafts (formerly QuicKutz)  This is a fabulous value, only $24.99 for 15 dies!!  My pretty papers I got from The Stamping and Scrapbooking Room!

And here's Lexi, up close.  Isn't she adorable?!!!

Stampendous! Fran'tage Encrusted Jewel Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampendous "Fran•tage Encrusted Jewel Hop"! All of us on the Stampendous Design Teams are sooo excited about this new technique...an accidental creative process discovered by our own Fran Seiford, Chief Artistic Officer at Stampendous!  For more info on the process of Encrusting with the Fran•tage Essentials, check out the YouTube video HERE.

For my project today I completed a chipboard and acrylic mini album that I had started a while back.  All the papers used on the book are from the "Everybody Loves Christmas" paper line by Echo Park.  I've then added stamped areas and stickers throughout the book along with photos of course.

On the cover I used "Believe" stamp embossed in Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel.  The edges were inked with a Versamark pad and then I added more of the Shabby Pink powder.  BEFORE heating though, I added little bits of Bright Pink EP, Shaved Ice, and Silver Glass Glitter.  The embossing powder when heated will act as an adhesive to embed the other elements into!  The final touch are snowflake Class-a-Peel stickers.

The front still needed something so I added Changito Lights.  He's colored with copics and the ends of the bulbs are colored with  Silver Metallic pen from American Crafts.  The border on the left side of the front cover was cut with a Tim Holtz border then stamped with the snowflake stars  from Jumbo Sparkle Joy set and embossed in Shabby Pink.

Here's the next 2 pages in  the inside.  Every other page in the book is acrylic and the opposites are chipboard.  I created a pocket on the left side for tags to add some journaling to.  The top of the pocket has been inked and embossed with Red Tinsel Embossing Powder.

On the right page I used the same snowflake star stamp inked in Versamark and embossed it directly onto the acrylic using the Red Tinsel powder.  The acrylic warps just a tad.

The here's the next 2 pages in the book.  Nothing embossing and encrusted here, just the cute little Cling Cutie Bundles set stamped in black ink and colored with copics.  The matching sentiment in the set I also used on this page.  (I did also a a few touches of the Echo Park sticker sheet)

The following pages...peek-a-boos back to the previous page and I added Cling Polar Christmas, embossed in Red Tinsel and colored with copics.  Next page is acrylic  and I added mats to the front and back of the page so you don't see the glue through.  BTW, I used a My Stik customizable Adhesive runner from 3L Scrapbook Adhesives for all the pages, elements, etc.  It sticks GREAT to the chipboard AND the acrylic!

The next set of pages has the back of the previous acrylic page, which I encrusted, see below, and another peek-a-boo window to the next page.  On the second page I used Cling Polar Path Set, again stamped in Versamark and embossed with Red Tinsel.

Here's a peek of the bottom of the left page, where I did the Encrusted Jewel technique directly on the acrylic.  I inked the edge with my Versamark pad, added Shabby White Embossing Enamel and then embedded a touch of Champagne Glass Glitter

Here's the bottom of the right page, using the star snowflakes again from Sparkle Joy, embossed in Shabby White EP, then this edge was encrusted with white EP and Silver Crushed Glass Glitter.  I also added bits of random silver shine with words from the Holiday Greetings Mirror Silver Class-a-Peel sticker sheet.

ANd a peek at the top corner with Polar Path stamp.Plus some encrusting around the edge of the photo opening.

We're almost at the end!  These 2 pages feature a peek back with a Tree Class-a-Peel sticker, and the another acrylic page.

Here's a shot of the tree.  Its White velvet Stackable Trees Class-a-Peel stickers and then I added Red Dot Sparklers CAPs to the tree.

The second page peeks through the acrylic to the swirls on the last page so I added a bit of border to a small strip with Shabby White EP.

And Finally, the last set of pages!  More of the mirror silver words, more EP stickers, lots more ribbon LOL.  And on the last page I stamped Tinsel Tree in Bright Pink EP, tucking my photo underneath.

On the background I used swirly snowflakes from Jumbo Merry Magical  embossed in Shabby Pink EP.  The corners were encrusted with Shabby Pink EP, Bright Pink EP, Shaved Ice, and Silver Crushed Glass Glitter.

Whew, thats it!!  Here's a recap of the Stampendous! supplies that I used:

Stampendous! Chipboard Challenge

Its time for another monthly challenge from all the Design Team gals at Stampendous!  This month our challenge is to make a card or project using chipboard on it

Challenge runs through: Thursday, December 1 @ 11:59 PM EST

I decided to finish I card I had started forever ago!  This is a new stamp from the July catalog called Cling Shirtwaists.  I have embossed it in Hematite Pearl Lustre EP onto a pattern paper scrap from my stash.  Added some crochet lace and a chipboard bracket.

I inked the chipboard first in smokey Grey Versafine then added Versamark ink and Aged Silver Embossing Enamel over that in chunky spots.

We would love it if you play along with us!  You have all month to do so!  Here's a list of players from our DTs  this week:

Jude & The Rockers Christmas!

We are rockin out a quick new release today at Simply Betty Stamps!  Meet 4 of the 6 Jude and the Rockers Christmas line!  (See the other 2 little rockers and lots more samples at the Simply Betty Stamps blog)

First up is Christmas Carol Ali.  I made her into a joy fold card, that opens twice.

Here's a view half open from the top and then a close up.  I used Echo Park's Christmas line from last year for all the cards today.

Next up is a close up of Mistletoe Brittany.

And here's the full pocket card.

This is Bog Gift Lilly.  I love her turquoise eyes and white hair :)

I used some of the stickers from the EP paper pack for my scene on my card.

And last is Christmas Morning Oscar.  Reminds me of my little guy.

OK, be sure to leave some love all around the DT blogs for a better chance to win something today!!
