Moving , Moving, Moving

My craft room is spread between two houses. What a nightmare! There is unfortunately no sign of stamping in sight in the next week or more , so luckily I had a card or two put back that never got blogged!

This is Jingles the Jester from the Have a BAll Collection at Pixie Dust Studio. Isn't he a doll? He's one of my favs and I love the way the card turned out!!

Jingles is paired with some Sassafras Lass papers, stitching, Diamonds & Dots QuicKutz embossing folder and a bunch of bright Basic Grey buttons!

The sentiment I generated on my computer. Below is a pic of the copics that I used.

Virtual Valentine's Day Blog Hop!!

Are you excited? We all are! This hop has grown so fast...from just about a week ago it was just a few friends...now we have over 50 stops on the best Valentine's Day Hop ever!!

There is an INCREDIBLE amount of talent along the way so be sure to stop at EVERY players blog AND be sure to leave some love on ALL the players' posts...winners will be chosen randomly from all posts and all blogs. There are over 20 prizes!!

I actually have 2 projects for you today! The first is a layout that I created with these absolutely most stinkingly adorable Iguanas!! Iguana Love is one of the cute new sets released by Stampendous! a couple of months ago. It comes with the pair, and then the 2 single iguanas and a whole bunch of cute sentiments.

Heres a closeup of the Iguanas. After I stamped them I cut them out and adhered them to hearts that were cut with my Spellbinders Heart dies. (I machine stitched around the borders of the hearts and the mats on the page)

The title was created with some cloth thickers from American Crafts that were originally white, but then I airbrushed them to match my papers and Iguanas. The colors I chose were pulled from the Bo Bunny Peacock Lane collection. I also added a small heart that I stamped from the set and cut out then adhered directly to the corner of the photo.

I had fun with this part of the layout adding a hand-ruffled ribbon treatment that I created with ribbon and my sewing machine. The little scalloped border is a Spellbinders die. Layout for the page is based on this weeks sketch at Sketchy Thursday.

I also created a card with this cute new little stamp called "Betty holding Heart" from Pink Cat Studio. She's part of a set of 4 little cuties! This card is based on this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch sketch challenge at The Sweetest Thing.

The card turned out quite a bit simpler than I usually end up with, but I just love the way Betty turned out colored! I matched her up with some gorgeous papers and chipboard embellishments from American Crafts..Letterbox.

Pixie Dust Studio Sneak Peek!

Its the Belle of the Ball! She is one of the newest images that will be available from Pixie Dust Studio tomorrow in the "Have a Ball Collection".

I used papers from the new Graphics 45 Once Upon a Springtime line...aren't they gorgeous? The pad happened to come with some cutouts that just happened to make a cute window! How lucky was that? Plus I used the papers to Paper-piece her dress.

I was in a really shimmery glimmery mood so I glimmer misted all my layers with Patina and Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist! It adds such a beautiful touch! The flower is from Prima and the ribbon is May Arts I think. Her jewelry was all fancied up too with a touch of Snickerdoodle Smooch!

There's even a little ledge at the bottom of the window she she can lean out and wait for her Prince! All edges were also inked with Chestnut Roan cats eye after they were dry from the Misting.

Here's all the copics that I used...not so many since most of her is paper!

OK, be sure to check back in tomorrow for another sample from this collection...and tomorrow is Release Day! Be sure to head to the Pixie Dust Studio Blog for lots more eye candy!

Challenge List:
Crafty Purple Frog: Romance (she's waiting for her prince)

Stampendous! Sunday

Shhh...I know Iam off a day. It should be Stampendous! Saturday and Scrappy Sunday. But I have a layout to finish up for tomorrow so I'm changing it up a bit!

Did you see yesterday's post at the Stampendous! blog? "Introducing Fran-tage!" Be sure to go check it out for lots of gorgeous eye candy! My card today isn't totally collage-y but it sort of fits with the theme of these lovely new stamps from Stampendous!

I am going back a bit to my old stamping days here and getting out of my proverbial box. For the background on the main panel I spritzed a combination of Creme de Chocolat and Tattered Rose Glimmer Mists. After that was dry (and yes I hit it with the heat gun) I stamped and embossed the new Dragonfly Vine and embossed it with Olive and Chocolate EP from Stampendous!

The background on the card is also embossed with Stampendous! Mushroom EP using the new Dream Forever stamp.

The final step was to rub a touch of metallic chalk (Craf-T Products) into the wings of the dragonfly. Here's a couple of closeup shots.

Challenge List:
Fab n Funky Challenges: Tempting Texture
Phindy's Place: Embossing
Digi Doodle: Nature

Hope you enjoy this card! I will be back later today with a sneak Peek from the newest Pixie Dust STudio Collection! Also tomorrow is the BIG Valentine's Day Blog Hop! There are over 20 prizes to be had...you do NOT want to miss out!!

-Cyndi

"I'm Living in a Material World..."

"...And I am a Material Girl". When I first saw this image from Tickled Pink I thought of Madonna! She was totally my 80's Fashion idol! I mean who didn't want to look like her?

The name of the stamp is Lil Fashionette 80's: Sookie. I colored her in some bright neon colors using the color palette from this weeks Color Throwdown as my inspiration...Orchid Opulence, Passion Pink, Real Red and Basic Black.

Here's the whole card . She was way before the time of Karaoke, so she must really be Madonna, right? Well this weeks challenge at the Tickled Pink Challenges is to create a Birthday project. So I added a new sentiment from Stampendous!, masked off and separated onto 2 different panels. Then added some stitching :)

Here's the copics that I used. Papers are from Bazzil, Bo Bunny, and Close to My Heart. Ribbon is Bo Bunny and Michael's.

Challenge List:
Tickled Pink Challenges: Happy Birthday
Really Reasonable Ribbon: Pink, Red, White
Tuesday Throwdown: Add buttons
Pile it On: Bright & Breezy

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great weekend :) -Cyndi

Be My Valentine

****HUGE Blog Hop coming Feb 14th**** tons of prizes from tons of companies!

Its Challenge time at Pixie Dust Studio again! This week out theme is "Be My Valentine". I used this precious image called The Notebook from the last Pixie Dust Studio Collection called Cupid's Corner.

I loved this movie and the book, but I think I balled my eyes out for hours later and will never watch it again! For the layout of my car I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch from The Sweetest Thing for my layout.

Papers are quite old from my stash...by Junkitz. The sentiment is by Verve. I also used my Curvy Cutter for the large circle, Spellbinders Lg Scalloped Rectangle and Scalloped Border, and punches for the sentiment.

Challenge List:

Lexi's Creations: Valentines
Pixie Dust Studio: Be My Valentine
Really Reasonable Ribbon: Pink, Red, White
Crazy Challenge: Lots of Love
The Sisterhood of Crafters: In Love with Valentine's
Sew Many Challenges: Anything Goes
Stampin for the Weekend: Valentine's Day

Thanks for visiting with me today! -Cyndi
